March Favourites!

March Favourites!
Hello lovelies! Today I've decided to do a March favourites, even if its the 10th of April (Shhh!) Most of them are beauty products, but I have included some non-beauty favourites also. So lets get right into it.

My favourite nail varnish in March, which I have been wearing to death, has been "Skinny Dip"by Rimmel London. It is part of their "60 secondS" nails collection. The colour is a beautiful deep, rich blue. The colour comes out exactly as it looks in the bottle. It is also very quick to dry.It is also wonderful for the price, of only £3.65!

My favourite lipstick this month has been MAC's "Made to Order". The colour is a sort of "your-colour-but-better" except more pink. It gives a lovely, but natural looking shimmer and silky look. Its very moisturising, so I didn't have to use a base or other lip balm. It stays on for a very long time, and It may sound weird, but I love the smell of MAC lipsticks, tell me if you do too haha! The price is a little on the high side, at around £15.99, but its definitely worth the price.

I've been loving the Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturiser. Its light, but doesn't wear easily. It provides the perfect base for foundation, helping it to smoothly glide on,and stay on! Its worth the £17.00 for great skincare! I have only been using it for a few months but already I think it might be becoming one of my Holy Grail beauty products!!

bekijk grote fotoFor a while I have been searching for a good foundation brush, and at last I found one. I have been loving my new Bobbi Brown Foundation brush. Normally I wouldn't go for something this expensive, but I had heard a lot about this brush and wanted to treat myself. Priced around £32 it is not cheap, but the quality and the flawless application make the price worth it. It blends wonderfully, meaning no horrid streak marks. Its super soft and gentle on your face, and makes the task of applying foundation so much quicker. This definitely a product to spoil yourself with!

I really wanted a dark colour to wear in March, but wanted one that was easily wear-able or blend-able to make it look more subtle. I found exactly what I wanted with this "Exaggerate Lipliner" from Maxfactor. I got it in the colour, Obsession, and have been completely and utterly obsessed with it! The colour is a beautifully dark berry shade, that can be made lighter, darker or glossier with any other product. I've found that it is super versatile and easy to wear. The lipliner is creamy and not too drying. I can't remember the exact price, but I know that it was not more than £5!

My favourite candle this month has been "Salted Caramel" by  Yankee Candle (If you follow me on Instagram you should know that!! @Allie_Bradley1) It smells absolutely delicious. It is a very strong scent, meaning you don't have to burn it as often. Its almost good enough to eat! I got the medium sized candle, which is around £16.99

I bought a gorgeous bag this month, which I have been absolutely obsessed with. For the price of £30, I got this gorgeous white bag from River Island. It looks small, but is big enough to fit everything I would need on an ordinary day. You can carry it or have it on your shoulder with the shoulder strap. It has three sections to it, to which have zips, and the middle section has a pop-openy thing (not sure what its called). The pockets are all very roomy, even if they look small. Its the perfect bag to complete any outfit!
I could only find it online in Light Pink, but it is available in White in store I think!

The songs I have been loving this month are "Hey Brother" by Avicii and "Do I wanna know" by the Arctic Monkeys. I've also been listening to the Frozen soundtrack like craazy!

I've been adoring the Lipton ice tea's! My favourite flavor is the Peach. Its so delicious and fresh, and makes you feel totally replenished and refreshed. The lemon one is also very yummy.

Thankyou for reading guys! What are your monthly favourites? I would love to know.
 Have a nice day!

Country Rose x

Our top ten favourite quotes!

OUR TOP TEN FAVOURITE QUOTES TO SEE YOU THROUGH THE YEAR

Already bummed about the new year? Fear not! Here are our top ten favourite quotes, and what they actually mean! Comment your favourites, and any quotes that you think should be on the list.

10.
"Thats the real trouble with the world. Too many people grow up!" ~ Walt disney.

What we take it to mean:
We have all wished at some point that we were older, either to feel more mature, sophisticated, or simply to be able to do more things. But what we forget is that being young is amazing! Imagination, creativity, fun and laughter are all things that we need to remember, well into adult life. Plus we would miss watching all the disney films!

9.
"It always seems impossible until it is done." ~ Nelson Mandela

What we take it to mean:
Sometimes it can feel like no matter how hard you try, you are nowhere near meeting your goal. Feeling disheartened, and probably lying in bed stuffing oneself with chocolate, what we tend to forget is just how far we have come! With determination, creativity and tons of Ben and Jerry's; We will get there.

8. "Don't gain the world and lose your soul. Wisdom is better than silver or gold."
~ Bob Marley.

What we take it to mean:
I have this quote stuck in on the first page of my diary, so that everytime I open it its the first thing I see. The reason I chose this quote was because it instantly struck me, the words are rhythmic and stick in your mind, and its such a wonderful attitude to have. It reminds me to be true to myself always.

7.
"To all the girls who think that you're fat because you're not size zero, You are the beautiful one, it is society that's ugly."
~ Marilyn Monroe

What we take it to mean:

If you have visited this blog before, you know just how much we adore Marilyn Monroe. Her strength, beauty and bursting personality are nothing on her attitude towards the "size zero" industry. Marilyn shows that being curvy is sexy and beautiful. Its a wonderful reminded that all body types should be celebrated, and all are beautiful. <3

6.
"Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, its about learning to dance in the rain."
~ Vivian Greene

What we take it to mean:
Every Time we read this quote it makes us smile, no matter how upset we feel. It reminds us that life isn't about waiting for bad things to pass you by, but to embrace them and learn from them, and it reminds us of the musical "Singing in the rain", which is equally fab.

5.
"20 years from now,you will be more disappointed
by the  things you didn't do more than the things you did do!"
~ Michael Palin

What we take it to mean:
Remember that awful outfit you thought was a good idea? That haircut that took ages to grow back? In 20 years time, they certainly won't bother you! So take chances, and be proud of what you have learned from your past mistakes! Seize all the opportunities!

4.
"Stars can't shine without darkness"
~anon.

What we take it to mean:
We have all been through bad situations, but we have made it through. Undoubtedly there will be more to be thrown our way, but we have learned and grown from them. We wouldn't be who we are without them.

3.
"The best moments are the ones that aren't planned"
~ anon.

What we take it to mean:
Hours at parties have taught us something! The best parties are usually the ones that are not planned to be bitter end, and you end up doing things that you never expected, but having a hell of a time doing them! Sometimes planning can take fun out of the agenda, spontaneousness is always fun!

2.
"Live life at the end of your comfort zone"
~ anon.

What we take it to mean:
This one doesn't need that much explaining. Be brave, aim to do one thing that scares and pushes you everyday! (obviously be aware of safety of yourself and others, and stay within the law) Usually the things that frighten us are simple and just require a little push, like talking to the boss about one of your ideas or trying out a new hairstyle thats not your usual taste!

Interior Design Interview, with exclusive photos and more...x

Interior Design interview!
Including exclusive photos and quotes!

Hello everyone, my apologies as it seems like it has been forever, but we have been very busy in the VCR office, so tired from everything, it will all be worth it though!

A couple of weeks ago, I was fortunate enough to visit a local Norfolk interior designers home. As usual I wanted to share my experience with you!

The house went through an amazing transformation in little time, I was amazed by how quickly it all came together.

I took some photos to share with you, in hope that you can see the amazing interior mind behind this creative, spacious house as much as I can!

This house once had a very unpractical layout, but now it is a wonderful spacious home!

The house has been completely turned around, what is now a gorgeous kitchen/diner was once where the staircase sat, smack bang in the middle of the room and it had many unneccessary door ways, some leading to the same living space! The stairs were completely knocked down, and moved to a more practical area of the house, this created a great sense of space.
*Picture of the Kitchen/Diner not available , sorry for inconvenience*

As you enter the house, you are greeted by a lovely living space. However this was not once the case, this room went through a transformation, particularly pointing out the gorgeous fire place, which clearly went through a gorgeous re-vamp.
Throughout the house there are fabulous touches that really give it that artistic edge.

This rooms clever layout, makes the most of the space.

I love this wardrobe! Has a lovely element of Shabby Chic to it.

Front Door , from the inside.

There are 2 bathrooms situated in the house, one main upstairs and then a convenient wet room down stairs, believe it or not however this wet room was once nothing more than a coal room. I simply love the use of the plum colour!

Everywhere you look a sense of adventure and flavour comes out of the house, there is a wonderful selection of abstract paintings, bursting with passion , and also pictures representing loved memories.

This is not only a stylish HOUSE to be proud of but a sentimental HOME bursting with personality down to the very last minor detail.

Here are some  features in the house!

Moving on upstairs it only gets better, where the stairs originally would have came up to is now a gorgeous master bedroom, with the wardrobes really making the most of the space.

Just Lovely!

I simply LOVE the bathroom, the featuring colour is simply gorgeous, it has the simplicity of a normal bathroom but has that extra touch of glam brought in by the dainty and detailed mirror. Just an amazing piece.

In Love with the bathroom. Inspired me!

Upstairs also, is a guest room, which is practical, simple and just lovely, lucky guests is what I would say!!

You think all that is lovely, well I have saved the best part of the house till last... the Glorious garden, such a lovely place, so relaxing and peaceful, but full of energy and laughter too. You can see there is real consideration behind the garden layout, especially to enhance the wonderful views.

Stylish Chicken coop!
 Gorgeous Flowers!

Lovely Landscape!
  Wonderful Details!

House, from the back! Gorgeous patio area!

How long did all this take , I wonder?
The house was brought by the designer on the 29th of November 2012, Builders where in by the 5th of December. Including a 3 week Christmas break for everyone, the house was ready to move in by the 1st of March 2013. Although at this point one or two appliances in the kitchen weren't quite ready to use.

I just can't believe how quickly it all managed to come together! It really was designed by a very careful and keen eye.

The designer says "I love living here" and also passionately claims, that to her she sees her house just as her home.

It really is a gorgeous home and a house to be proud of, this house is the perfect mix, having the best of both worlds!
Many Many Thanks to everyone who helped give me the opportunity to be able to write this article.
Me and The Interior Master Mind!
