A Touch of Magic

The VCR Team got together today and used a little bit of imagination to create a fabulous , magical look.

The Country Rose, Myself and our beautiful model , Tiger Lily, (Who is always helping us behind the scenes of the blog!) designed this look , exploring a 'hippy' style look. 

This Glorious ,vintage rose petal and ribbon detailed patterned skirt, with a lovely waist line, structured pleats and its lovely length. It is the highlight of the outfit for me, and adds the true touch of genuine vintage.

We used detailed eye makeup, highlighting key areas of the eye, and a simple 'line and flick' of eyeliner. We used forest green eye shadow as our main source of colour to the eyes .

We attempted to curl the hair into natural waves. The Relaxed curls creates the free vibe we where aiming for.

We paired the skirt with a simple white knitted jumper.

As a cute little extra touch we added a gold butterfly ring.

The skirt is a truly great fabric it is flexible and it flows. It is one of those skirts that you can do a magical princess twirl in!

This was a little experiment we tried out, in preparation for our big summer shoot we are planning!! So i guess you got a sneak preview!!

Flourish of Flowers!

Hello to you all! I hope everyone is having a great summer!
Now i am not the biggest fan of Gardening myself, but i love pretty Gardens, i think they really have character and are worth all the hard work!

Every Gardener will agree with me that the flourish and the burst of colour comes from the gorgeous flowers and that summer is the perfect chance to embrace the beauty of them!
When you plant a flower, given that you look after it, it will live for a long time! That means that every year around spring/summer time (depending on the flower) the plant will burst into bloom and spread a happy atmosphere through your garden.
Flowers aren't that expensive either, lets take a look at some flowers from some local garden centres in Norfolk.

A trip to the Garden Centre , although some may not admit it, is a lovely thing to do.
Lets take a look at some Lovely Garden centres that I personally recommend having been their myself

Bawdeswell, This is a sweet garden centre, with the cutest tea room and lovely book section too! Look at its flower of the month, This will bring a splash of colour to any Garden surely! For more on Bawdewell CLICK HERE!

Emcy Garden & leisure Ltd. in Holt. This is a place I used to visit all the time as a child. It has a nice range of flowers and could easily supply everything you need for a Garden turn around this summer. They are so friendly , their lovely website even has tips on how to grow your own! Taverham , nursery and Country Shopping Centre! This is a great day out for the family. With so much to explore, Plants, garden furniture , fish and general country shopping. I may also add that in the winter they supply lovely Christmas decorations. With a lovely tea room and so much to explore! Fakenham Garden Centre. This is a sweet Garden Centre, full of plants, garden tools and materials, outdoor furnishings and the best of all, Pets and Aquatics! Fish,Rabbits,Guinea pigs, i simply love to look around, they also supply everything you need for your pet with a wide range of fish tanks, hutches, dog/cat beds ect...

Hello everyone!

thanks again for the overwheing support we have been getting on Twitter (@VCountryRose )and on Facebook.

If you follow us, which you most definately should, Then you will already know the fabulous news we are about to share with you.

We are doing a Vintage Photoshoot! On the 31st of may, and will post all the beautiful pictures on here for you to see! Thanks everyone for the offers but we now have enough models and photographers.
The theme for this shoot is a mixture of Festival Fashion, Classy Garden parties, and Long Summer days. All of the things that make summer so pretty.

Lots of organising has to be done before the 31st. We would really appreciate any Advice and Support. But excitement levels are high in the VintageCountryRose offices!

I apologize first for the lateness… it being Christmas and all!I don’t know much about cars so you’ll have to forgive my vagueness on this particular blog! Im gonna keep this blog short and sweet so people don’t get bored of me rambling, all of my blogs are going to be done like this so I hope you enjoy my short blog on vintage cars!....
many people have different opinions of what a vintage car is, some people think it could be the type people like to go to a wedding in, and they go for the black or white colour scheme, although some people think or vintage cars being like old race cars like the one in chitty chitty bang bang!
but what people have to remember is sometimes its not the cars that’s important… it’s the driver!

Hey Everyone... Today i wanted to show you some typical shabby Chic interior , 3 of each room you may find in an everyday house house... In these photos you will be able to see all we have talked about so far in my interior articles... i would Like you to focus on the little detail however... The icing on the cake , the finishing touches as although i talk about them i have never really given them much credit but the details can make or brake the room, So it is very important.
